We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Planning Specialist Services Team as a Natural Environment Implementation Advisor.

The role:

We are seeking a dedicated Natural Environment Implementation Advisor to join our Specialist Services Team. In this pivotal role, you will:

• lead the monitoring and enforcement of landscape and ecological schemes during the construction of Sizewell C and beyond
• protect and promote the natural assets of East Suffolk by ensuring compliance and providing advisory support to both Sizewell C Ltd and East Suffolk Council
• offer key support and monitoring to Sizewell C Ltd, its partners, and contractors to ensure adherence to relevant landscape schemes and commitments throughout and beyond the construction period
• monitor development from a natural environment perspective, from condition sign-off to on-site monitoring, ensuring compliance with approved planning permissions.

What you will need:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• a Level 5 qualification or a Degree (or equivalent) in Ecology, Landscape, or a related discipline
• working knowledge of legislation and law related to protected species and habitats
• understanding of strategic planning and development management within the town and country planning system
• excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and negotiate confidently.
