Our client is looking for an experienced EIA consultant with project management experience to join the Environmental Planning team and support delivery across several, often complex, projects that primarily include onshore wind and energy infrastructure focusses. Professional development sits at the forefront of the opportunity, with support through the levels of IEMA/RPTI available.

The role:

EIA Project Manager’s are involved in the entire process of project development, from tendering to Environmental Statement submission. Working closely with the team of directors and managing a team of EIA consultants to fulfil project needs as a single, dedicated team of EIA experts. The role is a full-time / hybrid opportunity; however, the company is committed to ensuring strong work life balance for all employees, and therefore can offer other flexible working options (no less than 30 hours per week) for those that need. The role will require mentorship and support of junior consultants, as well as client liaison and synergy with the Project Director, so will suit an individual with previous experience of project and people management.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Experience project managing EIA projects and junior consultants.
* Familiar with client liaison (presentation and negotiation of tenders with stakeholder’s desirable)
* Degree-level education within relevant field e.g., environmental science or geography
* Understanding of EIAs within development process
* Design experience for complex projects
* Hold, or working towards, Chartered Membership for either IEMA, RPTI, IES or similar.
* Knowledge of GIS (advantageous)
* Understanding of environment issues such as, water resources, habitat, or peat (advantageous)
