Location: Dublin, Cork, or Castlebar on a hybrid basis with site work as required

Position details: Full-time and permanent position (37.5 hours weekly)

About the role:
As an EIAR Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and exciting infrastructure projects across various sectors, including water services, transportation, and flooding. Your expertise will play a crucial role in compiling Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) reports, recommending mitigation measures, and ensuring compliance with relevant Irish and European planning and environmental legislation.

To apply for this position you’ll need: 
  • A degree in science or engineering with an environmental component.
  • A minimum of three years of post-graduate experience in a consultancy environment delivering environmental/planning services for large infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in compiling Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) reports and knowledge of relevant planning and environmental legislation, such as the EIA Directive and transposing Regulations.
  • Familiarity with the Habitats Directive and the Appropriate Assessment (AA) process.
  • Detailed knowledge of Irish Environmental and Planning Legislation.
  • Excellent organizational, coordinating, and report-writing skills.
  • Experience in coordinating planning applications and associated documentation.
  • Strong team player with the ability to manage deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Excellent communication skills with efficient and methodical data recording abilities.
  • Experience utilizing GIS systems (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo) is a plus.
It’s desirable to have:
  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline with practical experience.
  • Previous work experience within a professional consultancy.
  • Membership with a relevant professional body and working towards Chartered Environmentalist status.
