ABOUT USFlex Assure is a code of conduct and compliance scheme, based on the Flex Assure Code of Conduct, which was developed by industry to set standards of practice for flexibility services providers (sometimes referred to as 'aggregators') providing optimisation services to business energy users.
With many energy users new to energy flexibility, it is important they feel confident about the service they will receive from a flexibility services provider. Trust in how these providers communicate with and deliver solutions to customers is essential.
To achieve this trust, customers need to have a common set of standards by which to compare providers and their claims. With a growing marketplace and increasing numbers of new entrants, it is equally important that customers can quickly understand which flexibility services providers meet those standards.
Flex Assure exists as a free service to energy users, who are involved or are interested in energy flexibility. Our goal is that all energy users know that the Flex Assure Code of Conduct exists, and understand that they can reasonably expect a flexibility services provider to abide by the rules and standards set out in it. This page provides a brief introduction to energy flexibility, the role of flexibility services providers and Flex Assure. Further information and tips for business energy users can be found in our Guidelines for Business Energy Users.
The Flex Assure Code of Conduct was developed by the ADE with support from government and key stakeholders to set these common standards of practice. Flex Assure also encompasses a voluntary compliance scheme, which monitors compliance with the Code of Conduct and supports Scheme Members to continually improve and implement best practice across their energy flexibility business. In this way, Flex Assure provides business energy users with assurance that they will receive high quality service from any registered Scheme Member.
