Landscape and Forestry Officer

You will play a key role in managing over 6,000 acres of award-winning green infrastructure across Milton Keynes. This includes: plantations, ancient woodlands, street and parkland trees, floodplain meadows, nature reserves, lakes and ponds, grazing land, and general amenity landscape. It is a varied and demanding role, but your main responsibility will be to specify and oversee maintenance work and help develop over 400 hectares of young woodland, while managing more mature trees and woodland. 

You should have experience in supervising site gangs (contactors and internal teams), managing trees and woodlands, hard and soft landscaping, and dealing with the public. You will need to be tenacious and questioning and have the commitment and personal qualities to ensure we continue to achieve high standards.

This post will suit someone who enjoys working in a team but can also work on their own initiative. The annual starting salary for this role will be £26,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience). All applicants are required to have a full driving licence.
