Together, our aim is to build the most trusted environmental solutions company in the UK providing infrastructure and services that enhance our customers’ lives, protect the environment and deliver growth for our shareholders.
We have excellent opportunities for IT Project Managers to join our Group IT function, working in our Infrastructure, Applications and Programme Delivery teams. This role can be based from Taunton or Exeter.
The Role

The role of an IT Project Manager is to co-ordinate the delivery of technology enabled change according to best practice principles, by planning, executing, and closing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants, in order to achieve the successful conclusion of projects according to plan. The Project Manager will define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

To achieve the desired business outcome, the successful candidate must ensure appropriate plans, communications, testing, training, implementation, and transition to support BAU are delivered. Delegating tasks and responsibilities appropriately to the project team, you are adept at identifying and resolving issues and conflicts with the project team, stakeholders, suppliers and other IT functions.
You will develop and deliver appropriate project documentation; including highlight reports, requirements documentation, design proposals, and presentations for stakeholder engagement.

The ideal IT Project Manager:

• Enthusiastic, positive, flexible approach to work, engages positively in change and driven to ensure required outcomes are delivered
• Ability to exercise initiative, think innovatively, use problem-solving skills and make well-judged recommendations
• Resilient with the ability to adapt to changing situations and reorganise tasks, people and priorities

• Experienced candidates will have extensive and broad-based IT and business experience, delivering diverse IT projects in a medium to large organisation alongside demonstrable experience of best practice tools and methodologies for business requirements capture and process analysis
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential
