Following a recent re-organisation, we have several exciting opportunities to join our Flood Risk Analysis Team in North Wales. As part of an established and well-respected team you will use flood modelling and collection and analysis of post flood event data to develop the evidence that helps to identify communities at risk of flooding and help to prioritise flood risk management actions to higher risk communities.

Flood Risk Analysis Advisor 1 – Full time, permanent role, £25,828 rising to £29,352 over four years (subject to performance).

The post holder will work as a key member of the Flood Risk Analysis team in providing and producing timely and accurate flood risk information that underpins NRWs flood risk work. They will be involved in preparing complex flood map information using GIS, speaking to external customers, management of existing data & information, carrying out post flood investigations and reporting. A good understanding of flood risk issues is essential along with a basic understanding of flood estimation and modelling software. As part of the role and building on existing experience the post holder will undertake simple hydraulic modelling work on smaller scale projects

This post can be based anywhere in North Wales – Our offices are in Bangor, Buckley, Dolgellau, Llanrwst, Ruthin and Welshpool
