This position is a permanent role for a Customer Adviser in the Carbon Trust communications team in London and would suit someone interested in starting or continuing a career in sustainability. We are looking for customer focused people who, after full training, can advise businesses and organisations in their move to a low carbon future.  These projects represent great opportunities to save clients significant money from their energy bills and reduce their carbon emissions.

The Adviser will handle enquiries that come in to the Carbon Trust via phone, email, webchat and event forms about the opportunities to work with the Carbon Trust; the adviser will also contact possible clients direct to follow up interest in our services.

The Adviser’s remit will be;

• Promoting Carbon Trust Services on the phone and email to enquirers and trying to convert their initial interest to tangible outcomes 

• Capturing enquiries as opportunities where appropriate into our CRM system

• Handling all inbound enquiries into the Carbon Trust and fielding them appropriately to the relevant person internally 

• Reporting back to the marketing team on numbers of enquiries per day/week/month and showing how these have been dealt with/allocated

• Helping to support marketing and events where necessary.

An interest in and knowledge of sustainability issues is a great advantage in this role.

Ideally experience would include: a customer focused role, especially in a business to business or marketing environment; some experience of call and email handling; strong IT expertise e.g. producing reports in excel, CRM system usage, enquiring and intelligent approach; great customer service ethic. Other attributes that would be highly valued in this role are effective team working; a collaborative and helpful approach to problem solving; attention to detail and focus on quality.

Salary & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary for this permanent role and a performance based bonus scheme. Hours are 37.5 per week with 28 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, a pension scheme and an opportunity to join our employee partnership scheme. 

Our office is close to both Blackfriars and Waterloo station and we offer travel card loans, a cycle to work scheme, company away days and a 24-hour Employee Assistance Helpline.
