This is an exciting opportunity to work for a firm that specialises in clean energy technology and the low carbon economy. 

Ecuity is a leading provider of policy advocacy and strategic consultancy services to private and public sector clients across sustainable energy and transportation sectors. Through our unique evidence-based approach, we are creating market opportunities for the commercial deployment of  low carbon technologies including Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles, Heat Pumps and Smart Thermostats. As we are developing our tender submission service on behalf of our company and our clients, we are looking for a Bid & Project Executive with strong technical and project management skills who will report into Ecuity’s senior commercial team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of bid submissions, from devising a bid programme and agreeing key deliverables to managing inputs from Subject Matter Experts within the Ecuity team and our partners and driving progress through to successful submission. Initially we anticipate that time will be split evenly between bid writing and supporting Ecuity’s core consultancy work.

Salary: Competitive + benefits and 23 days annual leave

Responsibilities will include:

• Building and managing a database of open and upcoming funding calls and competitions
• Working with the Ecuity account managers to build external relationships with individuals associated with the bid process to assist in the creation of quality bids and proposals
• Consortium development – working with the commercial team to identify and bring together organisations to support the lead organisation (typically an Ecuity client or Ecuity itself) with a tender
• Win strategy development, through the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) and proposal submission to interview/presentation preparation and debrief sessions
• Take an active role in the development of propositions specifications to ensure requirements are captured precisely
• Develop high quality technical content for bids, proposals and competitions
• Collect content via multiple sources (subject matter experts) including technical, commercial, finance, HS&E and legal to ensure comprehensive tender responses are developed
• Re-write/edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders
• Complete and submit bids (formatting/uploading/printing/dispatch)
• Handover to operational teams at contract award. For complex bids, support the operational teams in the transition period of new contracts or as required. Oversee the preparation of handover packs 
• Responsible for sharing lessons learnt and driving continuous improvement in our process and bidding efforts
• Supporting account managers on delivery of tasks related to Ecuity’s core consultancy business. 

We are seeking candidates with the following credentials:


• Educated to degree level in a relevant field (engineering, sciences, economics, business)
• Competent in the use of Microsoft office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent writing/presentation skills; able to write both creatively and logically to produce quality and compelling bid documents
• Good team worker, reliable and able to rapidly establish a high degree of trust, rapport and gain co-operation from the bid team
• Ability to manage effectively multiple competing priorities within own workload 
• Strong attention to detail; maintaining high standards for delivery, quality and accuracy


• 1-2 years’ experience writing and coordinating bids in the fields of energy, infrastructure or management consultancy
• Experience or knowledge of the energy and/or sustainability sector 
• Technical background; educated to degree level or with equivalent experience in a technical role. 
• APMP Foundation level accredited
• Sets budgets for bid support
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign
