Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Our client is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Environmental Planning Consultant to join their expanding Planning & Development Group. This is a fantastic chance to be part of a dynamic team that includes Planners, EIA Practitioners, Architects, Graphics & Visualisations Specialists, and Contaminated Land Specialists. With multiple UK office locations to choose from, you can base yourself in a location that suits you best. The team also collaborates with specialists in Noise, Air Quality, and Flood Risk, offering a comprehensive and integrated approach to projects.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

The perfect candidate will have a BSc or MSc in Environmental Planning, EIA, Town Planning, or a related discipline. A full U.K. driving licence with a clean driving record is essential. Professional accreditations such as IEMA or RTPI, or a commitment to achieving these, would be highly valued.

Experience and Skills:

We’re looking for a self-starter with a keen sense of commercial awareness. The ideal candidate will bring experience in various areas, preferably within a consultancy setting. Key areas of expertise include:

- Supporting planning and EIA projects for sectors like renewables, minerals, waste, residential, or industrial developments.
- A solid understanding of planning legislation and processes across the UK.
- Proficiency in EIA legislation and processes within the UK.
- Knowledge of environmental assessment techniques and methodologies.
- Strong report writing skills, including the preparation of EIA Screening Reports, EIA Scoping Reports, and Environmental Statement chapters.
- Confidence in engaging with key project stakeholders, including consultees and the local community.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management capabilities.
