Based in Central Scotland

£35 000 to £40 000 per annum  (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)

The Green Action Trust is one of Scotland’s leading environmental charities. We have been regenerating Central Scotland by undertaking landscape scale projects; creating and improving greenspaces, planting and managing woodlands, greening vacant and derelict land, creating and maintaining paths and enhancing a range of habitats for over 40 years. We are specifically responsible for delivering the Central Scotland Green Network. We are passionate about the positive environmental and social change we can deliver in Scotland and are seeking candidates who have a similar passion to help us create this change. 

The role will be responsible for overseeing all Green Action Trust’s design and delivery of a broad range of sustainable placemaking projects. The role also line manages a small team of landscape architects providing technical and management support. We are seeking applications from individuals with:

• A track record of designing and effectively managing a wide range of project types and all work stages.
• Relevant academic qualifications.
• Line management experience and or track record delegating tasks to others.
• Excellent communication skills, computer literacy and confident in using AutoCad.
• A positive, solution orientated and flexible attitude to their work.
• Professional membership (including working towards) of the Landscape Institute or another relevant professional body is desirable.

All positions advertised are offered on a permanent, full-time basis (although part-time and flexible working arrangements will be considered) and will involve hybrid working, from home and our office in Shotts, North Lanarkshire. Travel within Scotland will be required, therefore a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
