Aura Power is a solar PV and battery storage developer based in Bristol with projects under development in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Canada and the US.

We are looking to recruit a Land Manager to network with farming communities, estates, and other largescale landowners in the UK to develop new opportunities for solar, battery storage, and electrolyser projects. The Land Manager will be sourcing sites and negotiating land rights for new renewable energy developments, and helping manage our current portfolio of land agreements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To identify suitable land for development and successfully negotiate its acquisition with landowners and/or agents.
• Approaching landowners through a mixture of site visits, cold calling, and sending letters with a view of developing renewables projects.
• Building and managing a network of trusted introducers.
• Manage the pipeline of early-stage projects from site identification into signed Option
agreements, involving Development Managers and other internal teams where necessary.
• Assist the Development Manager by carrying out supporting activities when needed.
• To understand company strategies and develop business and business practices accordingly.

Key attributes and experience:

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills required.
• A degree in a relevant discipline (i.e. surveying or land/estate management) is desirable.
• Experience negotiating Heads of Terms, Options and Lease agreements.
• Familiarity with funder requirement as it relates to land agreements.
• Understanding of renewables industry, energy, and environmental issues in the UK.
• Solid understanding of commercial activities in relation to property and land law.
• A driving licence is required.
• Must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.

The job can be offered as a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) or a part-time role (minimum of 20 hours per week). The company endorses flexible working practices for all staff.

The job requires travel around the UK and some international travel. Pay will be dependent on experience.
